Kristi Mitchell, MPH is currently the Senior Vice President of the Center for Healthcare Transformation at Avalere Health LLC, a newly formed group focused on enabling next generation delivery of healthcare through quality, innovation and payment reform.  Prior to her work at Avalere, Ms. Mitchell worked at the American College of Cardiology, most recently as the Chief Science Officer.  In her role as Senior Director, Research and Development, she provided scientific and technical oversight to the development of NCDR Registry and Quality Improvement Programs, as well as, provided strategic and technical direction over NCDR cardiovascular outcomes research and evaluation activities. Ms. Mitchell has served on a number of national stakeholder panels focused on the use of clinical registry data, particularly for measure development and currently sits on the MDEpiNet Executive Operations Committee and the Scientific Advisory Board of NKF’s CKD Registry. She also holds a second three-year appointment with the NQF CV Measures Steering Committee. She earned an A.B. in Human Biology and Public Policy from Brown University, and her MPH in Public Health Policy Administration from University of Michigan.
