Vanessa Jacoby, MD, MAS, is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. She has an active research program in new and emerging minimally invasive treatments for women with uterine fibroids. She has led clinical trials of magnetic resonance guided focused ultrasound, laparoscopic radiofrequency ablation, and oral aromatase inhibitors for women with fibroids. She is the Principal Investigator of the University of California Fibroid Network, a statewide collaboration to advance research and clinical care for women with fibroids. Dr. Jacoby is on the Steering Committee for COMPARE-UF, the largest prospective cohort study of women with fibroids in the United States. Dr. Jacoby is also Director of the UCSF Clinical and Translational Science Institute Participant Recruitment Program and expertise in participant recruitment for clinical studies and community engaged research.
