Sanket Dhruva, MD, MHss, FACC is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCSF School of Medicine and Staff Cardiologist at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Health Care System. He is interested in developing the evidence base for medical devices to inform regulatory, insurer, and clinical decision-making by leveraging real-world data sources, including digital health technologies and by applying advanced analytic methods to large existing data sets. Current projects include a pilot study using a novel sync-for-science platform for post-market surveillance under the Yale/Mayo Clinic CERSI and assessing the attribution of adverse events to previously placed coronary stents using Medicare claims data linked to the NCDR CathPCI Registry. He is also interested in understanding device safety and effectiveness in demographic subgroups. His work has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, JAMA: Internal Medicine, BMJ, Annals of Internal Medicine, and PLoS Medicine.
