Dr. Abelson is currently a clinical research fellow in the Department of Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medicine. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Pennsylvania in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus in Bioengineering. Prior to matriculating in medical school, he worked for two years in New York City as a healthcare consultant. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in 2012, at which point he began his general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Weill Cornell Medicine. He is currently obtaining a Masters of Clinical Epidemiology in the Graduate School of Medical Sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine.
