Laura Hatfield, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Health Care Policy, with a specialty in biostatistics, in the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School. Her research interests include methods for analysis of complex health data in which multiple outcome types, repeated measurements, missing data, and hierarchical clustering may occur. Within MDEpiNet, Dr. Hatfield is developing methods for synthesizing evidence across multiple study designs, accounting for differential length of follow-up, signal detection and decision making, and safety monitoring, with an emphasis on implantable cardiovascular devices. Dr. Hatfield earned her BS in Genetics from Iowa State University and her MS and PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Minnesota.
